Ever gotten a QR code via email or text? Don't scan it!
QR code scams in Malaysia, also known as "quishing," involve using fraudulent QR codes in emails or physical locations to trick you into visiting fake websites, downloading malware, or sending money to a scammer's account. To protect yourself, always inspect QR codes for signs of tampering, be wary of those in public places, verify the sender and destination link before scanning, and if you become a victim, immediately contact your bank and report the incident to the National Scam Response Centre (NSRC) at 997 and the police.

HF technology (13.56 MHz) is an important driver of digital production processes, it is based on magnetic near-field communication. However, if higher ranges or bulk readings of 200 data carriers and more are required, users should opt for UHF technology (865...928 MHz). Turck's modular RFID system BL ident enables the parallel operation of read/write heads in the HF and UHF range – and thanks to protection class IP67, this can also be done directly on site at the machine or plant. This allows consistently decentralized signal processing in the field.
All highways on the west coast of Peninsular Malaysia including the North-South Expressway will be RFID-ready on the 15th of January 2022. Unlike Touch ‘n Go card and SmartTAG, each unique RFID tag is tied to a specific vehicle and is non-transferable. Some of you might be wondering, what if you don’t stick the RFID tag to the car and will it work if you hold it manually while you drive through the RFID lane?
