Cheap ZTE smartphone

ZTE’s brand new Android smartphone, the Q519T, might just be the budget device to get. Launched in China just recently, it is priced at a mere 599 Chinese yuan (about RM 350 , Simply amazing !!!). What makes it a very attractive smartphone at this price point is its LTE connectivity and a huge 4,000mAh battery; features which will definitely catch the attention of budget-conscious consumers.

Because of its low retail price, the ZTE Q519T is one of the most (if not the most)affordable LTE Android smartphone. It is also equipped with a 5-inch 1280 x 720 display, a MediaTek MT6735 1.0GHz quad-core processor paired with 1GB of RAM, 8GB of expandable storage (microSD card up to 32GB), dual-SIM support, and 5MP rear and 2MP front-facing cameras. It will also ship with Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box.

For that price, it offers a 5-inch display with a very acceptable 720p resolution, LTE connectivity, and a very, very generous 4,000mAh battery – which ZTE claims can offer 35 days of standby time. In terms of colour option, it will be available in white, blue or gold.

Asus FonePad launch 2013

courtesy of Soyacincau.com

The ASUS FonePad has been spotted at SenHeng’s IT catalog with the retail price tag of RM849.00. Officially announced at MWC 2013, it didn’t take too long for the Taiwanese maker to release it here in Malaysia
To recap on the device, the ASUS FonePad has similar Nexus 7 like dimensions with an aluminium body instead of the usual textured plastic. Like its name suggests, the FonePad allows you to make phone calls and it comes with the earpiece speaker at the top. The front 7″ IPS display pushes a similar 1280×800 pixel resolution that gives a pixel density of 216ppi.

Instead of the usual Quad-Core processor, the FonePad is powered by Intel’s Atom 1.2GHz processor mated with 1GB of RAM and it comes with 8GB of storage. Unlike the Nexus 7, the FonePad comes with expandable microSD memory slot and has a 3MP camera at the back with a front facing 1.2MP camera. Operating system wise, it runs on a recent Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean. For RM849, this is a worthy alternative to the iPad mini and even the Nexus 7.

GSC launched a mobile application – GSC Mobile App (iPhone) in May 2011, which enables movie-goers to purchase via m2u mobile or PayPal account on their iPhones and scan 2D barcode via the phone at cinema checkpoints. Android app also just launch.

Samsung Galaxy Y at RM499

Yet another Samsung device appears and it is the Samsung Galaxy Y, an entry level Android smart phone. The pricing is written as RM499 outright . At the moment, it is only available for pre-order which we believe full availability would be happening in the next couple of weeks. IMCC, a popular online retailer has yet to put up any details of the Galaxy Y.

The Samsung Galaxy Y is a replacement for the existing Samsung Galaxy Mini which has been selling rather well for under RM700. Now at a much lowered RM499 price, it comes with a decent 832MHz processor, 3″ QVGA TFT screen, 2MP Camera and a 1200mAh battery. On board there’s 160MB of storage which is expandable via microSD. The Galaxy Y runs on latest Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread.

Priced below RM500 mark, the Galaxy Y is probably the cheapest Android smartphone running on Android 2.3 in the market.
